Meri Brown Responds To Sister Wife Robyn Brown’s Big Baby News
Meri Brown divorced Kody Brown so that he could legally marry his fourth “spiritual wife” Robyn, and now Robyn is expecting her second child with Kody. This should make for a very interesting season of Sister Wives.
According to People, 46-year-old Kody Brown and 36-year-old Robyn Brown will bring their polygamist family’s child total up to 18 when they welcome their new addition early next year. Robyn’s due date is January 7, and it sounds like Kody is ready to spoil his only legal wife — he said that he’s going to work hard to be “kind and tender” and “ultra-sensitive” during Robyn’s pregnancy.
“We are so happy to announce an eagerly expected new member of the Brown family!” Kody and Robyn told People.
Many Sister Wives fans were likely curious to see how Meri Brown would react to the big baby news. She’s the only sister wife who had just one child with Kody (this will be Robyn’s third), and it was extremely difficult for Meri to divorce her husband of 15 years so that he could legally wed his youngest wife. However, there was no tinge of sadness in her obligatory congratulatory tweet.

Meri Brown is an empty nester now that her daughter Mariah has gone off to college, so it will be interesting to see how she handles watching one of her sister wives experience the joy of welcoming another child into her home. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Robyn actually offered to be Meri’s surrogate when Meri was thinking about trying for a second child. Meri turned her down, but now the loneliest of Kody’s wives might look at Robyn’s baby wondering, “What if?”
Some Sister Wives fans are convinced that Meri is going to leave the Browns now that she no longer has a legal tie to Kody or a child at home. Meri Brown also doesn’t have a strong bond with the other sister wives — the women have admitted that they’re not the best of friends, and they only spend time together because of Kody. Meri went back to school to study psychology, and she’ll be self-sufficient once she turns her education into a career.
Unfortunately for Meri Brown fans who are interested in the next chapter of her life, it looks like the sixth season of Sister Wives is going to be very Robyn-centric. According to the Wrap, Kody is planning to petition for adoption of Robyn’s two children from a previous marriage. Couple this big plotline up with Robyn’s pregnancy, and it’s going to be tough for the other wives to get much camera time.
