After the match, India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was slapped with a fine equivalent to 75 percent of his match fee, for an incident in which he threw an elbow at Mustafizur when the two collided on the pitch as Dhoni was running out a single.
Mustafizur was fined 50 percent of his match payment — a penalty that will hit the youngster much harder than Dhoni’s fine will hurt the 33-year-old India skipper, who with a reported net worth of $50 million is the world’s richest active cricketer.
