Nerlens Noel Picks Kentucky With Funky Haircut [Video]
Nerlens Noel, the top high school player in the country, will be taking his talents to Kentucky. Noel unveiled his decision by unveiling the Kentucky Logo shaved into the back of his Kid N Play haircut.
Noel’s decision is good news for Kentucky. The 2012 NCAA Champions will be losing Anthony Davis, the National Player of the Year, next year to the NBA draft. Noel, who is ranked as the second overall prospect in the 2012 class, will try to fill Davis’ shoes next season.
Noel said:
“I’ll be taking my talents to play at the University of… (My mom) thought it was the best fit for me and I did too.”
The 6-foot-10 center averaged 4.6 blocks per game during the 2012 season, according to USA Today, and many believe that he’ll be better than Davis defensively for the Wildcats.
Shabazz Muhammad, who was ranked number 1 by rivals.com, chose to play at UCLA. WHAS11 reports that Muhammad said that he wants the challenge of turning the UCLA ball club around in search of another title.
