‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Main Character Revealed In New Image
We have a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens main character revealed in a new image that has surfaced a few days ahead of the opening of the San Diego Comic-Con.
Fans are eagerly anticipating whatever else Disney and director J.J. Abrams will share with them when the massive comics convention kicks-off on July 8. As the date draws near, we hear that there are two new images of different Star Wars: The Force Awakens characters, including Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and someone we have not seen yet, Domhnall Gleeson.
So far we have seen the scavenger, Rey, the renegade Stormtrooper, Finn, the X-Wing pilot, Poe Dameron, and of course some of the original Star Wars trilogy characters. We knew Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson had been cast, but we really didn’t know anything about his character and whether he would join The Force or The Dark Side.
From the Star Wars: The Force Awakens new image, it appears Glesson’s character will be part of the latter. He does not look that friendly and is wearing all black, which in Star Wars symbolism means he is a bad one.
As always, reading any further may mean you come across SPOILERS, so do so at your own risk.
Now before talking more about Domhnall Gleeson’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens characters, let’s look at the very cool image of Han Solo, Rey, and Finn in what looks to be the Millennium Falcon. Even though we saw all these characters in the trailer, released last month, we have not seen them like they appear in the photo.
Here we see Han piloting the Millennium Falcon and Rey taking the spot that used to belong to Chewbacca in the original trilogy. Behind her sits Finn looking at something in the horizon that clearly has his attention. According to Making Star Wars, this is the first time Rey has seen anything green, as she comes from the desert planet Jakku. Check it out.
Now, as to Domhnall Gleeson and his character, The General, in the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens character images he is seen on the bridge of a First Order Star Destroyer sending “Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) after Finn because Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) can’t be everywhere at once.”
As the Star Wars: The Force Awakens release date approaches fans get more and more excited first to see what transpires at Comic-Con and then when the movie finally lands in theaters on December 18.
