Henry Cavill recently made some comments about his role as Superman in the upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . Cavill was spotted at the GQ Style and Dunhill party in Mayfair, where he discussed his role in the highly anticipated film.
According to WWD , Cavill talked about how Superman’s god-like abilities make him slow to anger.
“Superman wouldn’t get into a cage fight with just anyone. Imagine, you wouldn’t get into a fight with someone if they hit you and you didn’t feel it, barely registered it. Superman wouldn’t even notice; he’s not quick to engage,” Cavill said, alluding to the fight between Superman and Batman in the movie.
Meanwhile, as the film gears up for its release next spring, two photos of Wonder Woman have leaked online. The images, which were posted by Heroic Hollywood , have sparked the discussion of how big of a role Wonder Woman is going to play in the movie.
The images are promotional material for Batman v Superman and feature two depictions of Wonder Woman in action. The first image shows an outline of Wonder Woman, with both Batman and Superman in the background, while the second one features Wonder Woman standing in full costume.
In order to shed more light onto Wonder Woman’s role in the new movie, Gal Gadot recently interviewed with Superherohype where she revealed a few spoilers concerning her part as Wonder Woman in the film.
“She [Wonder Woman] has unbelievable endurance. She is exceptionally strong. She can jump really high and practically fly,” Gadot stated in the interview. “She knows tons of martial arts styles. She is a strong and serious woman.”
In the comic world, Wonder Woman is a warrior princess whose abilities include a range of superhuman powers. Along with her incredible skills in the combat department, Wonder Woman wields a few weapons of her own, including the Lasso of Truth, two bracelets that are extremely durable, and a tiara. Although fans are well aware of Wonder Woman’s powers and weapons, it still is unclear just how she will be portrayed in the new film.
Along with Gadot and Cavill, the film also stars Ben Affleck , Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film is being directed by Zack Snyder, with the screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to premiere March 25, 2015.
