Michael Douglas & Family: Actor’s Family Poses For Rare Photo, Douglas Kids All Grown Up
Michael Douglas and his family traveled to Jerusalem recently, and Douglas’ wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, posted a family photo on Instagram. The photo is considered rare, as the couple tends to be very private. Their children are hardly ever in the public eye, and most people haven’t seen much of these children (Carys, 12, and Dylan, 14) over the years — which is just how Michael and Catherine wanted it, apparently.
As for why the Douglas family was in Jerusalem, dbTechno reports that Michael was honored with the Genesis Prize, which is known as the “Jewish Nobel Prize” and is quite prestigious. He also received a $1 million prize.
“Douglas’ wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and two children, Carys and Dylan, attended the prestigious affair in honor of the A-lister, and by the looks of it, the good-looking apples didn’t fall too far from the tree! Catherine and Michael’s kids look like spitting images of their famous parents and were all smiles during the event.”
Michael Douglas and his family were dressed to the nines to celebrate the evening. According to the SpreadIt, Douglas gave a speech at the event and promised to “(use the money to help) bridge between the Israelis and Jewish communities across the planet.”
“Abraham’s tent had its flaps open and so hopefully since approximately half of the Jewish population in the world is outside of Israel, we can find ways to better understand each other and to grow together.”

This award was presented to Michael Douglas just a few months after he wrote an Op-Ed piece for the Los Angeles Times. His article talked about an incident that occurred while on vacation with his family. A man had “hurled insults” as Douglas’ son, Dylan, because Dylan was wearing a Star of David (presumably a necklace).
“After calming him down, I went to the pool and asked the attendants to point out the man who had yelled at him. We talked. It was not a pleasant discussion. Afterward, I sat down with my son and said: ‘Dylan, you just had your first taste of anti-Semitism.'”
Michael Douglas and his family are well respected, but they have faced adversity through the years. Aside from issues involving their beliefs, Douglas was previously diagnosed with (and beat) cancer. He and Catherine Zeta-Jones have also been through some rocky times in their marriage but have managed to work through them. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the couple is back on track, and they seem happier than ever before.
