Singer John Legend was reportedly the wedding singer at a recent reception held in California last weekend.
According to Daily Mail , the Grammy-winning singer was hired by Sunitha and Sridhar Reddy to perform at their lavish reception at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach.
John’s performance may have been set up to be a last-minute surprise to the guests in attendance at the reception. Once the couple made their way to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, the emcee then introduced the performer as “Grammy award winner John Legend.”
With his piano placed in front of a beautiful wall covered with green foliage, John Legend performed the Grammy-nominated hit song, “All of Me.”
“The happy newlyweds glided across the floor as confetti rained down from the ceiling. At one point the groom swept his bride into his arms and spun her before lowering her down and dipping her for a passionate kiss.”
According to a list released by Spotify earlier this month, John Legend’s “All of Me” is ranked No. 1 of the “50 Most Popular Wedding Songs.”
Quite a few people have tweeted their desire to use the emotionally stirring song for their own future weddings.

“All of Me” was inspired by John Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen — which made his performance of the song at the couple’s September, 2013, wedding that much more special. Nearly one year later, the Oscar-winning singer had the chance to serenade Kim Kardashian and Kanye West with the same song at their wedding in May, 2014.

In a February, 2014, interview with Billboard , John Legend opened up about how he knew “All of Me” would be a big hit even before it was officially released to the rest of the world.
“I told my label early on that this could be the biggest song of my career if we don’t mess it up… People are used to music that makes them dance. But every once in a while, you want to hear something that pierces your heart.”
The simplicity of “All of Me” makes it apparently easy for John Legend to perform the song with just his powerful voice and a piano, whether he is on the Grammy stage or serenading newlyweds at a lavish reception.
