Nick Viall Next ‘Bachelor’? Shawn Booth Out, Nick Now Top Contender? [Spoilers]
Did Nick Viall join The Bachelorette mid-season to find love, or was he hoping for a shot at becoming the next Bachelor? According to Reality Steve, Nick’s co-star, Shawn Booth was a top contender for the role of ABC’s next leading man, but his revised spoilers put Shawn out of the running.
On Tuesday, Steve revealed that his initial final rose spoilers were wrong, and Shawn is engaged to Kaitlyn Bristowe. After weeks of telling his readers that Kaitlyn ditched both guys, a Snapchat video — released by the Bachelorette herself — proved him wrong.
“The spoiler is wrong. Kaitlyn did not dump Shawn at the final rose ceremony. They got engaged and she’s been with him since that day.”
Fans won’t get proof positive that Kaitlyn and Shawn are engaged until ABC airs the final rose ceremony on July 27, but if spoilers are correct, Nick could be a candidate for the next Bachelor. After all, he seems to enjoy being on TV, and it doesn’t take him long to get over the last girl he fell in love with, former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman.
What is this Nick Viall Nonsense will he be the next bachelor???? Actually I’m calling that right now. A full season of Nick Viall. Why not.

Who would Nick Viall be up against if the network does consider casting him for the Bachelor 2016? Even before Andi gave Josh Murray her final rose, there was speculation that he would be the perfect choice as the next guy to hand out roses.
According to Hollywood Life, Josh “hoped to be the runner up” when he was on Andi’s season so he could take the role — one that ultimately went to Iowa farmer Chris Soules. Now that they are no longer a couple, it’s likely that Josh is one of the guys the network will be putting high on their list.
“Producers kept telling Josh that if Andi didn’t pick him, he would be the next Bachelor… he has been resentful towards Andi because he knows he could have been in the limelight as the Bachelor… now [that he’s single], he is going to make a play to try to be the next Bachelor.”
The show’s producer, Mike Fleiss, has been sending out tweets asking fans to tell him who should be the next Bachelor. However, there is no doubt that the production team already have their guy or guys in mind — asking viewers to weigh in is just Fleiss’ way of making them feel like they are part of the process.
Keep an eye out for our next Bachelor… #helpcasttheshow

When ABC will announce the name of the next Bachelor is unknown. It’s likely fans won’t find out until Kaitlyn hands out her final rose, and either before or after Bachelor in Paradise gets underway.
Who would you like to see as the next Bachelor, and would Nick Viall be a good choice?
