Emma Roberts Bounces Back From Breakup With ‘American Horror Story’ Heartthrob Evan Peters
Former American Horror Story star Emma Roberts has been busy this summer and the season has only just begun. Ms. Roberts had already moved on from Murphy’s first horror anthology series, accepting a more prominent role in Scream Queens, and now Emma seems to have moved on from her relationship with American Horror Story co-star and ex-fiance Evan Peters.
“Their three years together just ran its course,”according to a source quoted by International Business Times. “They have so many great memories together but couldn’t make it work in the end. The breakup was amicable – there was no drama whatsoever. Emma and Evan are even still friends!”
Pictures are already starting to emerge that focus on Emma Roberts’ hands and, more specifically, the lack of that sparkly pink and gold engagement ring.

This weekend, just after the announcement that the Peters-Roberts engagement was off, Emma was spotted out with girlfriends, as though the breakup was already old news. Roberts shared pictures of her outing with Instagram followers, which included shots of Emma wearing a festive green plaid summer dress with a jean jacket thrown over her shoulders. Ms. Roberts and girlfriends started the day out at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, before moving on to watch the horse races at Santa Anita Park.

“They grew apart,” a source told People. “They both had a lot of growing to do, and it was better that they do it on their own.”
The three-year relationship between Emma and Evan began just after the two met on the set of Adult World, a comedy in which the couple had starred alongside John Cusack. Scandal followed their courtship almost from the beginning, which ultimately led to the arrest of Ms. Roberts on charges of domestic violence on July 7, 2013 in Canada. Police officers responding to the scene reported that Evan Peters had been treated for a bloody nose and an injury that resembled a bite mark.
Emma was released from police custody, as Peters declined to press charges. Evan proposed to Ms. Roberts six months later.
“It’s really amazing,” Peters said of working with his fiancée on location in New Orleans. “You’re at set and you’re in a city that you don’t really know that well. It’s nice to have your best friend there to go to dinner with and check out the city.”
Now that it seems both Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have moved on, fans will have to catch them on each of their Ryan Murphy horror shows. Evan Peters has signed on to return to American Horror Story, which will premiere in October on FX. Emma Roberts is currently filming Scream Queens, which will debut in September on Fox.
