Despite still being a year away from its official release, the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is already generating a lot of attention. Following the posting of a few teaser photos and one trailer online, the first official synopsis of the Zack Snyder film has been released, much to the delight of fans.
According to Collider , the movie that is supposed to be the follow-up film for Man of Steel will see Batman taking on the god-like superhero head to head. The synopsis reveals that after Batman fears Superman’s actions will go unaccounted for, he attempts to take on the caped hero himself. However, while the two heroes fight each other in an epic struggle, another unnamed threat arrives to crash the party.
What is this additional threat? Is it a new villain or something else entirely? While nothing official has been announced concerning the briefly mentioned threat in the synopsis for the movie, many believe that Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) might be the main adversary this time around.
Additionally, Gal Gadot will be making her debut as Wonder Woman in the film. While the details concerning her role in the movie are still yet to be known, her arrival is sure to complicate things for all parties involved.
Meanwhile, the 2015 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas has offered fans more spoilers concerning the coming movie. Featured in the event for all to see was the Snyder-inspired Batmobile. The re-tooled Batmobile was placed on display and gave fans an idea what Ben Affleck will be roaming around in the upcoming film.
The photos, released on Gizmodo courtesy of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, show a very different Batmobile than we have seen in the past. The new ride looks more gritty than past renditions, and features a matte finish with plenty of shadows. The images also confirm earlier photos that were released and show the Batmobile sporting angular armor with a machine gun turret on front.
Furthermore, fans were able to get an up-close and personal view of the interior of the new car. The images show the interior of the two-seater vehicle in greater detail, and highlight some of the gadgets the new Batman will be playing with when he tries to take down Superman.
Along with the synopsis and a look at the Batmobile, Batman v Superman has also been rumored to set up the highly anticipated 2017 film, Suicide Squad , though the studio has yet to comment.
