WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar made his triumphant return to WWE last night at WWE RAW, to a huge ovation from WWE fans. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon felt that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins needed to prove himself more. So they decided to put him in a match with Lesnar for the title at WWE Battleground, set to take place in about a month.
Brock Lesnar never lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship himself, as Seth Rollins pinned Roman Reigns to win the title when cashing in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 31 . Brock never got his rematch, which he was owed. So at WWE Battleground , many believe Rollins will go down. That seems to be the plan, as well. According to Cageside Seats , the plan is to have Lesnar go over and win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins may not get a PPV rematch for the title after. He is set to take on Triple H at WWE SummerSlam in August, while Lesnar is set to defend his championship once again against Roman Reigns at the very same PPV. This is the current plan — however, WWE is known for changing things. It is doubtful they do however, as Lesnar is massively over right now. There is no better time to put the title back on him than at this point.
He most likely will not hold onto the WWE World Heavyweight Title nearly as long as he did before. The interesting part is that whenever he loses the championship, this may end up being a loop into his WrestleMania storyline. So we will have to wait and see what comes from that.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins will most likely be turning face by WWE SummerSlam . One would imagine that The Authority would turn, as Rollins in his heel ways have led them to doing what they had to with him. However, there is a need for The Authority to remain heel. A new big time member of the group should be added by that point. Most believe it to be Roman Reigns, but there have been rumors for months about his heel turn, and WWE has changed their mind on it every time.
They very well could go with a WWE NXT star, or someone like Kevin Owens. Seth Rollins being a face opens up a lot of possibilities for him. By 2016, we very well could see a Shield reunion, for example. However, we cannot put the cart before the horse here. All we are relatively sure about for now is that Brock Lesnar is back, and he will most likely be champion soon.
