Singer Rihanna is reportedly dating Real Madrid soccer player Karim Benzema. First reported by TMZ, the pair were seen dining together on a 5 a.m. breakfast date in New York City at a 24-hour Cuban diner called Coppelia.

Rihanna reportedly is a huge soccer fan, and first reached out to the handsome footballer – who has modeling experience since he’s an official spokesperson for Adidas according to People magazine – during the 2014 World Cup. Rihanna and her new boyfriend exchanged tweets after the game, with Rihanna posting: “@Benzema I feel your pain right now!” reports TMZ. Karim responded with “@rihanna No pain no gain, thanks for the support!”

Rihanna has been seen about town with her new boyfriend, most recently in Hollywood where they were spotted drinking and cuddling at a Fetty Wap concert, according to a People magazine informant. The two were seen on a second date shortly after, where they filled up on pasta at Santa Monica’s Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi last Saturday evening, which is Rihanna’s favorite restaurant. Rihanna and her boyfriend sat in a private room, and after around four hours, the two left the restaurant, with Karim accompanied by a bodyguard.
As recently reported by the Inquisitr, Rihanna started dating her new boyfriend a year after sex charges against the footballer were dropped. Karim Benzema was accused of sleeping with underage prostitutes including a 15-year-old, but the charges were dropped. If found guilty, Rihanna’s new boyfriend would have faced up to three years in prison.
Rihanna recently stunned the world at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala with her imperial yellow fur-lined dress, telling Vanity Fair:
“I’m so in love with this dress, but the train is insane! I can’t really walk in it without any help—but it’s so worth it. I love this dress so much! It’s Chinese couture and it’s made by Guo Pei. It’s handmade by one Chinese woman and it took her two years to make. I found it online. I was researching Chinese couture on the Internet and I found it.”
Karim is reportedly an excellent father who dotes on his daughter. In February 2014, Rihanna’s boyfriend, who signed a six-year, $50 million contract with Real Madrid in 2009, had a daughter with his ex, Chloe De Launay, and Rihanna’s new boyfriend has posted plenty of photos of the little beauty on his Instagram page.

Although their relationship is still rumored, it seems a pretty safe bet that Karim is Rihanna’s new boyfriend.
