‘Orange Is The New Black’s’ Lea DeLaria Is Getting Hitched: See Who’s Officiating ‘Big Boo’s’ Wedding
Orange Is the New Black’s Lea DeLaria is quite the busy woman. She’s currently promoting the third season of the hit Netflix series, and in addition to that, she’s getting ready to wed her fiancée, Chelsea Fairless.
Lea, who plays the character of Big Boo on the hit series, told Page Six all about the upcoming nuptials to her girlfriend. According to DeLaria, the comedian Sandra Bernhard is going to officiate the wedding between the two at some point between “next summer or fall.”
The actress told Page Six, “Sandra Bernhard is going to marry us because she’s a really good pal. It’s going to be in New York, but we’re still trying to find the spot!”
She continued, “We’re going to do a night wedding and we’re going to go right to the dancing. We’re not doing a sit-down dinner. We’ll have Mexican trucks.?.?. stuff like that.”

According to DeLaria, all of her Orange Is the New Black cast mates will be invited to her wedding. Back in February, People magazine reported that Lea became engaged to the fashion editor, once the actress announced the news on her Facebook page.
At the time, Lea posted on her Facebook, “Despite their concerns about the patriarchal confines of marriage, actor / singer Lea DeLaria & editrix Chelsea Fairless of Brooklyn, New York are pleased to announce their engagement. No date has been set for the impending nuptials, but it’s safe to say that it will be the event of the season, or a total s**t show.”

The actress got down on one knee after the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which was a big night for the cast of Orange Is the New Black. The cast took away wards for “Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble.”
Lea and Chelsea met through her cast mate, Emma Myles, who plays Leanne on the show.
Last the Inquisitr reported about Lea DeLaria, she was going off on a subway preacher in NYC. At the time, the preacher was ranting and raving about “the sin of homosexuality” when DeLaria confronted him on the train.
The actress shouted, “Get off this train. Other people believe other things and have every right to believe other things on this planet and in this world. We do not have to be force-fed this man’s religious beliefs. Jesus never said for you to do this — ever!”
This season on Orange Is the New Black, Lea DeLaria has really had the opportunity to stretch herself, as there’s a big storyline about Big Boo’s beginnings.
