Jennette McCurdy: Does She Applaud Miley Cyrus With Dyed Pubic Hair? [Pics]

Jennette McCurdy hit the public eye with her role on iCarly. Recently, McCurdy spoke to Jimmy Fallon and joked with the host about the possibility of an iCarly reunion with Miranda Cosgrove and the rest of the iCarly gang.

While Jennette McCurdy has admitted that she often overthinks things, she is also careful about the image she presents because she know that there are girls looking up to her as a role model.

McCurdy spoke to Huffington Post recently about having celebrities as role models.

“I think it’s the most important thing to find someone… whose actions aren’t publicized, and treat them as the people that you want to have as role models.”

McCurdy went on to reinforce the notion that looking up to a celebrity is a bad idea.

“I think it’s dangerous territory if it’s [someone like me],” McCurdy said. “I’m 22; I make mistakes all the time. I’m trying really hard, but I would never want someone to make the same mistakes I did because they think, ‘She did, so I’ll do the same thing.'”

At the same time, Jennette McCurdy admitted that she looked up to Miley Cyrus, another former child star.

“I applaud Miley in a lot of ways,” Jennette Mcurdy said at the time. “I don’t know her personally, but I’ve met her at a few events and she’s always very kind. She seems like she’s really happy with what she’s doing. I think that’s amazing. I oftentimes overthink things, and that kind of neurotic sensibility may not be as fulfilling as, ‘I’m just gonna do me and be Miley.'”

Was Jennette McCurdy referring to Miley’s most recent outrageousness?

Recently, Miley Cyrus did a photo shoot for Paper magazine and appeared on the cover. In the shoot, she was mostly nude, occasionally with dyed pubic hair. In some shots, she is holding a pig. The photos have elicited a variety of reactions, including snickers and comparisons to Kim Kardashian’s cover shoot for Paper.

Is this something that Jennette McCurdy would applaud? Or does she wish Miley had thought it through more?

In the interview that accompanied the photo shoot, Miley explained her bisexuality.

“I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with.”

“Yo, I’m down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me,” she says. “I don’t relate to being boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”

McCurdy was not specific about what she applauds in Miley Cyrus, but she does seem to look up to her and the way she is herself without overthinking.
