Dave Grohl proved he has the endurance of a true performer.
People Magazine reports that the Foo Fighters frontman fell from the stage during a performance in Gothenburg, Sweden. Grohl apologized to the audience as he was carried off in a gurney, promising to return to finish show.
“Now look, I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke my leg, so look you have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters, we’re gonna come back and finish this show. But right now I’m gonna go to the hospital. I’m gonna fix my leg but them I’m gonna come back and we’re going to play for you again. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Dave Grohl then asked drummer Taylor Hawkins to take over, according to CNN .
Grohl made good on the promise coming on stage just a few minutes later. With the help, he took a seat and started to perform once again (see video below).
At one point, Grohl even stood up on crutches to sing “My Hero.” When the doctors asked him if he needed anything, he replied, “Whiskey, now.”
Just in case you didn’t believe Dave Grohl really broke his leg, he posted this X-ray on Twitter.

Before founding the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana and he has even produced documentaries.
His fall seems to have only increased his fame as a rock legend.
One commentator posted on the group’s Facebook, “Man, just when you thought Dave Grohl couldn’t be any more awesome.”
