Women’s soccer fans can watch live online as Brazil faces Spain in a FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup Group F showdown — a match that would send Brazil through to the Round of 16 with a victory Saturday afternoon.
To watch the Brazil vs. Spain FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup match streaming live online from Olympic Stadium in Montreal, see the information at the bottom of this article. The match kicks off at 4 p.m. in Montreal, which is also 4 p.m. United States Eastern Time, 1 p.m. Pacific, on Saturday, June 13.
Brazil won its opening match over South Korea, who had been co-favorites to advance out of the group, but now must beat Costa Rica — a team appearing in its first Women’s World Cup — on Saturday to get back into the race.
Brazilian superstar Marta drove home a second-half penalty kick in the 2-0 win over South Korea, and with that goal became the leading goal-scorer in the 28-year history of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The 15th goal of her World Cup career pushed the 29-year-old Marta — already considered the best women’s soccer player in the world — ahead of Germany’s Birgit Prinz, who retired at age 33 after the 2011 World Cup, to the top of the tournament’s goal scoring table.
Brazil Coach Vadao says he looks forward to the match against Spain because the two women’s soccer nations play similar, pressing styles which should make for a fast-paced, positive game.
“Spanish football is closer to ours. We hope that they will go more forward and we can go on the counterattack, which is our strongpoint,” said the 58-year-old Brazil coach, who took over Brazil women’s national team last year — the 20th different team he has helmed in a managerial career stretching back to 1991.
“They are a team that has very fast transition from one sector to another,” Vadao added. “We hope that there’s a team that’s going to press, play a high-speed game.”
Both Brazil and Spain have battled for the acceptance of the women’s game in their football-mad, but machismo-driven, countries. But in Brazil this year, the country’s football federation has invested more funds in training for the women’s national team, which has allowed the players to stay together as a unit since February of this year.
