‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ Star Tamra Judge Sets The Record Straight About Brooks Ayers’ Cancer
Season 10 of Real Housewives of Orange County has arrived, and if fans were hoping that things were mended between Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson, then they’re in for quite the disappointment. The pair have had their fair share of difficulties in the past, and now it appears as though the two are starting this season once gain at odds.
The current dispute between the co-stars centers on Vicki’s boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, who is currently battling with stage three lymphoma. In the premiere episode of Season 10, Vicki stated that she had kept Tamra informed about her boyfriend’s fight with cancer, and that Tamra had failed to follow up on the matter.
Meanwhile, in her Bravo TV Blog, Tamra disputed Vicki’s claims that she never contacted her after learning about the cancer. “I was a little surprised to hear Vicki say that she called me to tell me that Brooks had cancer and that I never reached out to her after that call. SAY WHAT? That is 100% incorrect!!! If I am not mistaken, Vicki said that she had not talked to me and didn’t care to reach out to me because she couldn’t trust me,” she stated.
Tamra went on to write that she had found out about Brooks’ cancer through secondary sources.
“I found out that Brooks had cancer when it was announced online. I texted Vicki at that point (we were not speaking) and told her I was sorry to hear about Brooks’ cancer and asked her if he had started treatment. Vicki NEVER called me and I never called her!”
Furthermore, Tamra appears to be convinced that Vicki is using the whole situation to make her appear like she isn’t a good friend. “I am not sure what she was trying to do, maybe make it look like I am not a good friend and she was?” she wrote in her post.
Tamra added that Vicki was also lying about other people checking in on her boyfriend.
“I was also shocked to hear Brooks say that Terry [Dubrow] checks up on him all the time, since I had heard that Terry had not talked to Brooks in months,” she wrote, adding at the end of her blog: “Let the housewife games begin.”
The next episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, which also stars Heather Dubrow, Shannon Beador, Lizzie Rovsek, and newcomer Meghan King Edmonds, airs June 15 on Bravo.
