Kristin Cavallari Under Fire For ‘Chicago’s Just Not Home’ Comment [Video]
Kristin Cavallari, of Laguna Beach and The Hills fame, is just not that enchanted with her new home in the windy city of Chicago, as she recently told the world in an interview with Elle magazine. The reality star, who’s now married with children, tweeted “Chicago’s just not home” and has Chicago Bears fans ready to get out the pitchforks.

Known for her brutal honesty on both Laguna Beach and The Hills — she was the type of character you either love or hate — Cavallari is still cutting to the quick with her straight-forward opinions. In her interview with Elle, Kristin said that “Jay hates LA. And Chicago’s just not home,” reports the Daily Mail. But they can’t exactly leave either, as much as fans would now like to give them the boot.
The pair currently split their time between their Los Angeles and Chicago homes, although Cavallari hopes to make Nashville their permanent home once Jay’s contract is up, reports ABC News 7.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Cavallari’s husband, quarterback Jay Cutler, recently signed a long-term contract extension with the Chicago Bears for $126 million. So for the time being, until Cutler’s contract is up in 2020, the couple is stuck in Chicago, even though to them it’s “just not home.”
After the interview, fans had an equally brutal reaction to Cavallari’s brutal honesty:
“Hey Kristin Cavallari, you can leave Chicago at anytime and take your husband with you,” posted one detractor on Twitter who’s home clearly was Chicago.
Another let Cavallari know, “Never underestimate how much Chicago dislikes Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari.”
The couple came under fire last year, as well, when they revealed they won’t vaccinate their children. Cavallari is currently pregnant with their third child.
Cavallari also discussed her upcoming fashion ventures and her new book in her interview. Although she was scared to move to Chicago because she was afraid moving away from her Los Angeles home would affect her career, things have just fallen into place for the entrepreneur in their new home:
“I was a little nervous at first, to be honest, just because I didn’t… It’s sort of always been ingrained in me that if you want to be in the entertainment business, you either have to be in L.A. or New York. And so when I married Jay, I officially moved to Chicago. I was a little scared. I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted to do with my career, but everything has sort of fallen into place with the shoes, especially, the jewelry, and now this book.”
It seems, even though “Chicago’s just not home,” things are still working out well for Cavallari in the Windy City.
