Leah Messer’s Children Separated While ‘Teen Mom 2’ Is In Rehab
Leah Messer and her husband of three years, Jeremy Calvert, finalized their divorce earlier this week as the Teen Mom 2 star remained in a Utah rehab, where she’s addressing issues stemming from depression and stress. And now, news of where her children are has hit the web.
On June 11, Radar Online revealed Leah Messer’s children are living separately. According to the site, Messer’s youngest daughter, Adalynn Faith Calvert, 2, is being cared for by Calvert’s parents, Tammy and Anthony, while her twin girls, 5-year-old Ali and Aleeah, are with the Simms family, Corey and Miranda.
Sources claimed Calvert sees Adalynn, whom he and Leah Messer welcomed in February 2013, on the weekends. During the week, he’s stationed away from home in Ohio, where he works as a pipe layer.
Radar Online revealed Leah Messer’s mother, Dawn Spears, and sister, Victoria Messer, also help with Adalynn and get the twins mid-week so that they can spend time with their little sister.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Leah Messer and Calvert’s divorce was finalized on June 8. In Touch Weekly was first to break the news, with a source claiming Messer participated in the court hearing via phone.
“Leah participated on the phone from rehab. They had an uncontested divorce. The terms, including a custody arrangement for Adalynn, were agreed upon prior to the hearing. It was all over in about 15 minutes.”
Leah Messer entered rehab on May 21, according to a previous report by In Touch Weekly, and is expected to remain in Utah until later this month, at which time her children are expected to return to her care.
Leah Messer and her now-ex-husband, Calvert, began experiencing marital troubles during the fifth season of Teen Mom 2. On the show, Messer was often seen complaining about her husband’s busy career, which often kept him out of town for long periods of time. After filming wrapped, their issues got even worse when Calvert took to Twitter, telling fans he caught Messer cheating on him with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd, with whom she also cheated on her first husband, Corey Simms. Although Leah Messer denied cheating on her husband, claiming the alleged affair was a rumor, their relationship became strained, and in November 2014, Calvert filed for divorce.
