Jennifer Aniston has her finger on the pop culture pulse, but one thing that she doesn’t exactly jive with is social media. Last month the actress tried her best to get with social media by taking over her company’s Living Proof’s Instagram page .
Aniston did a pretty good job, but according to the actress, it wasn’t the best experience. Jennifer told People magazine that running her beauty company’s Instagram account really stressed her out. “I was so stressed out. I was like these Kardashians. This is a career! You start to get so self-conscious.”
Wait, did Jennifer Aniston just drop a Kardashian reference? You bet she did. According to the star, she does indulge in watching the hit reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians . Though she’s not proud about of it, she did tell People that she does watch from time to time.
“I sadly am very much interested in the Kardashian-Jenner thing. That’s a guilty pleasure for sure.”
So she may be up to date with all things Kardashian but social media is definitely not her thing. Not only does social media stress Jennifer Aniston out, but she thinks the younger generation is being robbed of a natural childhood due to social media apps like Instagram and Twitter. Aniston says that kids are too busy with their noses buried in their phones and iPads to have normal interactions.
“Kids aren’t speaking to each other anymore. I was with friends of ours from Vermont and their two kids don’t have an iPhone or an iPad. They were 9 and 12 and were the most interesting young adults. Seeing other kids on their [phones] all the time, it makes me sad.”
In case you missed Aniston dabbling with social media, here’s a quick round up. Aniston shared her daily diet with followers of Living Proof. Here’s a healthy breakfast she decided to post which includes a poached egg on brown toast, with avocado and tomato.
Then she shared her workout routine which consisted of kettle bells with her dog. She captioned the photo with, “A little barre work with my beauty.”
As for lunch she posted a picture of what she called the “perfect salad.” The salad consisted of bulgar wheat, cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion, garbanzo beans, feta cheese and pistachio nuts.
