Wiz Khalifa Once Again Tops Taylor Swift On Billboard Hot 100

For the second week in a row, Wiz Khalifa‘s “See You Again” has topped Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” Billboard broke the news this morning.

“Wiz Khalifa’s Furious 7 soundtrack hit ‘See You Again,’ featuring Charlie Puth, spends an eighth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It holds the top spot over Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ (featuring Kendrick Lamar), which interrupted the run of ‘Again’ at the summit when it led the list two weeks ago.”

Khalifa’s “See You Again” also tops the Radio Songs chart for a third week, but falls from No. 1 to No. 2 on the Streaming Songs chart. It holds at No. 2 on the Digital Songs chart.

Speaking of Wiz Khalifa, Inquisitr reported yesterday that, based on an interview, he may be scared of Amber Rose. The two broke up for good in February. TMZ reported that Khalifa never voiced his true opposition out of fear that Rose would make him even more unhappy.

While Khalifa remains in the top spot, Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” remains at No. 2 for the second week in a row after hitting No. 1. Speaking of bad blood rivalry, there were some creative rumors that alleged enemy Katy Perry was getting revenge on Swift by releasing a song called “1984.” Us Magazine debunked the rumors.

“Sorry, Internet — looks like a revenge song is not in the works after all. Katy Perry’s managers at Direct Management Group confirm to Us Weekly that the speculation is ‘completely false.’ They add, ‘Katy Perry was not involved in writing, singing, recording or registering this song.'”

As she continues to conquer the charts, Taylor Swift is playing to stadiums of 50,000 or more people every night and garnering excellent reviews. The Cleveland Scene was one of the news outlets that gave Swift a thumbs up.

“Swift ventured out alone onto a venue-long catwalk to greet the crowd and unleash some dancing-alone-in-a-bedroom-in-front-of-a-mirror moves…The significance of both her solo maneuver and her expanded stage presence was clear: Swift was a bold, confident, carefree woman in charge of her music and life.”

The review went on to note that the theme of the night was about self-empowerment — something that Taylor Swift’s songs have given her fans since she first made it big in 2008.

We know Taylor Swift is No. 1 at the box office, but will she return to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100? The magazine notes that Wiz Khalifa has a slightly smaller margin of victory than the week before. We will find out next Wednesday morning if Taylor Swift can take back the top spot.
