‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers: ‘Reality Steve’ Breaks Down Likely Lead Possibilities [Updated]
Though ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season won’t be starting for quite some time, people are already buzzing about the lead possibilities and filming will be starting in just a few months.
Who will be handing out roses this winter? There’s been plenty of speculating already, and Reality Steve’s spoilers shared some updates recently. What’s the scoop so far?
Show creator Mike Fleiss is already teasing via Twitter that he wants fans to “Keep an eye out for our next Bachelor… #helpcasttheshow.” While Fleiss, host Chris Harrison and others with the show always tease fans that they want their input, the reality is that they don’t necessarily give much weight to the feedback they get.
Followers have been tossing out plenty of ideas in response to Mike’s tweet. Names that come up frequently include Josh Murray, Andi Dorfman’s ex-fiance, as well as guys from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette including Shawn Booth, Ben Higgins, Ben Zorn, Chris Strandburg and others. Of course, there are also those who want someone not already linked to the franchise, but that’s unlikely to happen.
Reality Steve’s spoilers have previously indicated that he heard the three frontrunners include Josh, Shawn and Chris. Murray has indicated that he may well be open to doing it, and there have been signs that Shawn is probably willing to consider the possibility as well.
There’s been speculation that Chris Soules might want another shot at the gig too now that he’s split from Whitney Bischoff. News just came out that Soules is now signed up for yet another reality TV show, Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. This will be Soules’ fourth television gig in about 16 months and the fans are surely going to push back against his former simple guy from a farm image now. Most would guess ABC won’t be giving any serious consideration to another “Prince Farming” season at this point.
Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers tease that things may have shifted a wee bit on the casting front for the 2016 Bachelor season. From what he’s hearing, Chris Strandburg may be essentially out of the running now, leaving the focus on Josh and Shawn. Though many fans are rooting for one of the Ben’s to get a shot, it doesn’t sound as if that’s going to happen.
Though based on Steve’s Bachelorette spoilers for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s final rose ceremony many would say it would be unusual for Shawn Booth to end up with the gig. However, fans can definitely see how it could be spun. There will surely be.
There will surely be talk of Nick Viall being in consideration considering the Bachelorette spoilers regarding how things go for him this season, but it doesn’t sound as if that’s a possibility at this point. Though in some seasons lately it’s been hard to pin down the likely contenders, this time many would say it’s easy to see why the network would focus on Josh and Shawn.
Reality Steve’s spoilers have said he thinks it’s Murray’s gig if he wants it, with Booth definitely in the running though. However, there is plenty of time yet for things to shift. Will ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 lead be Josh Murray, Shawn Booth or someone else? Fans can’t wait to find out and more information will surely be coming out within the next couple of months.
Updated: Per Reality Steve’s spoilers on The Bachelorette 2015 season, Shawn Booth is officially out of the running to become The Bachelor 2016 lead. Though it’s long from confirmed at this point, this one certainly seems to be Josh Murray’s gig if he wants it. Will the producers come up with another viable option?
