Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas Reunite: Daughter Stella Brings Ex-Spouses Back Together Again
Despite a difficult split not too long ago, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas reunited this past weekend for the sake of their daughter, Stella. While this may have had some awkward moments, it was time for Stella’s graduation, and Melanie and Antonio put aside their differences for the sake of their girl.
Griffith shared a photo featuring the trio on Instagram. Stella is smiling while standing between Melanie and Antonio. Both of her parents have sunglasses on and are smiling, though some might say there is a sense of distance there.
Melanie wrote, “Mama, Stella and Papi. Our angel is amazing. Beginning the next chapter of her life! Freedom!!”
The actress shared several other photos from the graduation events over the weekend, and it’s clear she’s very proud of her daughter. On one photo of Stella and Antonio, Melanie added a caption that it was so sweet. Another post showed extended family and friends standing with Stella at the actual graduation, and Stella was beaming.
It seems that the entire family was on hand for the celebration, as Griffith also posted a photo showing all of her kids together. Dakota Johnson, star of Fifty Shades of Grey and Melanie’s daughter with ex-husband Don Johnson, was there, as was Stella and Melanie’s son, Alexander, with ex-husband Steven Bauer. Melanie noted that her kids are fabulous and that her joy, heart, and life is theirs. She’s clearly one proud mama.
It doesn’t appear that Banderas shared any photos from the graduation weekend via his Instagram page, but Griffith’s photos show he was definitely having some proud father moments. As ABC News notes, the family may have been all smiles, but there were still some reminders of the split visible at the graduation.
Melanie Griffith’s Antonio Banderas heart tattoo is being removed, and Melanie’s photo with Stella shows a bandage in the spot where the tattoo had been. As Us Weekly has noted, the actress has been in the process of removing this tattoo for quite some time now. Griffith has been working on selling a Los Angeles home she shared with Banderas, and many know that he’s been spotted having some fun in the sun with the ladies since his split from Melanie.
While the Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas split was a challenging one for everybody involved, it seems fans are glad to see that they were able to come together to celebrate such an exciting event for their daughter, Stella.
