The gender mystery is over for Emily Deschanel and David Hornsby. The couple has another boy to add to their family. Deschanel’s representative confirmed the birth in a statement given to Us Weekly .
“The whole family and baby are doing well.”
The name and exact date of birth have not yet been released to the public. Deschanel’s other son, Henry, was born on September 21, 2011, just short of a year after marrying Hornsby.
Emily’s sister, Zooey , is also pregnant and will give birth sometime this summer. Being pregnant at the same time had to make things both interesting and exciting for the Deschanel duo.
It did not take long for fans of Emily to express themselves on Twitter.

That is just a small sample of the love that Deschanel’s fans are sending her way.
The official pregnancy announcement from Deschanel came on December 5, 2014. Emily spoke with Us at that time and talked about her diet and what she would crave.
“I work with a nutritionist to make sure I have the protein that I need. It’s so weird. I just get thirsty. You have to drink more water and I can only drink so much water. I used to drink a ton of [fluids] and now I’ve hit my limit so I think of a variety. Once I get thirsty, I’ll want lemonade or a sparkling water. Maybe it is citrus fruits!”
Now that the baby is born, Emily will not have to worry about carrying the extra weight of a baby around while on set. Emily is the star of Bones and is wrapping up on their 10th season.
It was announced earlier this year that the popular crime show has been picked up by Fox for an 11th season. Lasting for over a decade on TV is no easy accomplishment. The great writing and electric chemistry between Deschanel and co-star David Boreanaz are only a couple of reasons as to how this show has stood the test of time.
We know that the future of the Deschanel/Hornsby household will have a lot of dirty diapers in the future. What the future holds for Brennan and Booth is anyone’s guess.
