‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Calls Out Haters On Twitter
Kaitlyn Bristowe knows she’s being watched and judged for her actions as The Bachelorette. Since she was named the lead in this season, beating out Britt Nilsson, her choices have been pulled apart by media and audiences alike. Monday night, as the show aired and Bristowe was shown weighing whether or not to bring on Andi Dorfman’s ex-Nick Viall, a couple of viewers tweeted directly to Kaitlyn. The comments were not all positive, and Kaitlyn made her views known.
Merry Christmas “@AfterFiveNow: Ho Ho Ho @kaitlynbristowe is a Ho #TheBachelorette”

Kaitlyn has been controversial since the extended preview aired on the season premiere of The Bachelorette. Clips of future episodes revealed that Bristowe had been intimate with a contestant outside the boundaries of the “fantasy suite” dates, which normally happen near the end of the season. Bristowe said she makes no apologies for her actions and made the point that she is an adult woman free to make her own choices.
In the four episodes since the premiere, there have been rumors that Kaitlyn is pregnant, that two of her suitors are more interested in each other than in her, and one previous Bachelorette finalist, Nick Viall, has returned. Despite all the drama, Kaitlyn has maintained her social media sense of humor. Last week she also got some support from former Bachelorette Jillian Harris, who discussed on her blog the social media hatred aimed at Kaitlyn.
“I am absolutely APPALLED AND DISGUSTED with the way some humans think it is ok to talk to Kaitlyn on her social media channels. I feel absolutely sick and sorry for not only Kaitlyn, but those who feel the need to say such horrible, judgmental things to someone they have never met and truly only means good.”
Kaitlyn tweeted out her appreciation for Jillian Harris’ words.
Thank you for the support, that actually brought tears to my eyes! Positive vibes only @MollyMesnick @jillianharris
