Teens Allegedly Attacked By Texas Police Officers At Pool Party, Disturbing Footage Goes Viral [Video]

It was only supposed to be a pool party at a home in McKinney, Texas. However, the event took a turn for the worse when officers from the McKinney Police Department arrived. On Sunday, June 7, disturbing footage of police officers attacking black teens at the pool party surfaced online.

According to Fox 4 News, on Friday, June 5, several calls were made regarding a disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool involving black teens who were “actively fighting” at a pool party. Callers insist the teens had access to the pool but did not have permission to be there since they did not live in the area. The party-goer who uploaded the video did confirm that a fight took place but claims it wasn’t exactly how neighbors insisted.

Although there was indeed an isolated, physical altercation that took place between a mom and girl attending the pool party, the Grio reports there was another reason why police were called. It has been reported that neighbors were concerned about the influx of African-American party-goers at the event, which took place in a predominantly white suburb. As a result, law enforcement was called to intercede.

The seven-minute YouTube video, titled “Cops Crash Pool Party,” was uploaded by pool party attendant Brandon Brooks. The shocking video, which chronicles the disturbing series of events that occurred, also includes a description detailing the series of events that occurred before the officers arrived.

“A fight between a mom and a girl broke out and when the cops showed up everyone ran, including the people who didn’t do anything. So the cops just started putting everyone on the ground and in handcuffs for no reason. This kind of force is uncalled for especially on children and innocent bystanders.”

Based on the video’s description, however, the officers weren’t very concerned about the altercation. In fact, it appears the incident got worse when the officers arrived.

The video begins with one officer in particular yelling expletives at several party-goers who do not appear to pose a threat. He can be seen holding a baton forcing people to leave the premises. However, that’s not all. At one point, he’s also captured manhandling what appears to be a teenage girl. The girl is then handcuffed and forced to lay face down on the ground. He then goes a step further by placing his knees into her back as she screams in agony. By the end of the jaw-dropping video, several people can be seen handcuffed, sitting on the ground.

Once the video was uploaded to YouTube, it definitely didn’t take long to begin circulating. Many disgusted viewers have voiced their frustrations and concerns, but apparently they aren’t the only ones concerned. The McKinney Police Department has also stated that the unnamed officer’s actions have “raised concerns.” Fox 4 News released an update that included a statement from McKinney PD spokeswoman, Sabrina Boston. The officer has now been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
