Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar told Megyn Kelly that their lives will go on whether or not fans get to watch carefully-edited versions of them on 19 Kids and Counting , and now that the girls have “shared their hearts” on Fox News, it looks like they’re ready to go back to sharing their lives with their fans — Jill Duggar is using baby Israel to shift the focus back to the more wholesome side of her family.
There’s still no word on the status of 19 Kids and Counting or the possible spin-off show starring Jessa and Jill Duggar. However, fans of the family can breathe a huge sigh of relief — the Duggars definitely aren’t going into seclusion and shutting themselves off from the rest of the world. According to E! News , Jill Duggar is back to being active on social media, and this could be a good sign for 19 Kids and Counting fans who aren’t ready to quit keeping up with the Duggars. Even if Jill doesn’t return to TV, at least she’s willing to keep her fans updated on what’s going on in her life.
Jill Duggar, Jessa Duggar, and most other members of the Duggar family went silent on social media after their family’s sexual molestation scandal became a huge media sensation. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jim Bob, Michelle, and Josh eventually issued a response to the bombshell discovery of their family’s dark secret, but the Duggar daughters stayed quiet until their Friday night interview with Megyn Kelly.
Now that the girls have said their piece, they’re probably hoping that they’ll get a little peace. Jill let her fans know that she wants things to go back to the way they were by doing exactly what she was doing before the scandal broke — giving her fans an update on baby Israel .
“Happy 2 month birthday #IsraelDavidDillard!” Jill captioned the Instagram photo below. “We are so blessed to be your parents! May you grow up to love Jesus and serve others! #2MonthBirthday @DerickDillard.”
As you can see, baby Israel is rocking a customized tee that he can only wear for one month. If you can’t melt the hearts of your family’s critics by shedding a few tears on Fox News, then try to win them over with adorable baby photos.
Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard , shared the same photo of rapidly-growing baby Izzy. However, he gave it a slightly different caption.
“We are so blessed to be this little guy’s parents! Happy 2 month birthday Israel!” he wrote. “May you continue to grow both in stature and in favor with the Lord and also with man. #israeldaviddillard #jillmdillard #2months.”
It looks like Derick had the Josh Duggar molestation scandal in mind when he crafted his caption — perhaps he wants Israel to stay in favor “with man” because he doesn’t want his son to end up getting questioned by the police and harshly judged in the court of public opinion someday. The Duggars might think that it’s possible to pray Josh’s crimes away, but their beliefs won’t save the child molester/anti-gay rights activist from being sentenced to life as a social pariah.
Unfortunately, it looks like Jill Duggar is already worried about the possibility of baby Israel growing up to be just like his uncle. During her interview with Megyn Kelly, Jill talked about the “safeguards” that her parents put in place to prevent Josh from molesting his sisters.
“I hope I can set up the same safeguards in my family that they did,” Jill said, according to Us Weekly .
The Duggars’ safeguards included locks on the doors in the girls’ bedroom.
“As a mother now I look back, and I think, you know, my parents did such an amazing job for me.”
Do you think Jill Duggar will get to stay on TV, or will her fans have to keep up with her on Instagram from now on?
