Amber Marchese On Her Illness: ‘Cancer Is Hideously Ugly’
Amber Marchese had been keeping to herself after this past season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey wrapped up as many of the ladies watched Teresa Giudice turn herself in to serve time. But in April, Marchese decided to post something to her social media that rocked this family. Amber had found a lump during a movie night with her husband, and she had to get it tested.
Amber Marchese later revealed that her breast cancer had returned, but it sounds like she feels stronger and more confident this time around. Not only has she beat it once, but Amber has also learned that the cancer is isolated this time. Marchese reveals that she is just very lucky to have found the lump. Now, Amber is using her Real Housewives of New Jersey platform to share her journey.
According to a new Bravo report, Amber Marchese is now revealing how she is coping with cancer for the second time while being a mother to several children. When Amber was diagnosed for the first time, it was a scary experience and her children didn’t like her without hair. This was documented on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and it was clear that her children knew that their mother was sick when she didn’t have her hair.
“I was just in total disbelief that this was happening, AGAIN! How is this possible?” Amber Marchese reveals, adding that she was in shock for being diagnosed for the second time, saying “cancer is hideously ugly.”
But it sounds like Marchese is a very positive person and can see the good in any situation. Despite battling cancer for the second time, Amber says that she has found good things in the situation.
“Somehow during this entire process, I became grateful for having cancer. Yes, you heard that correctly,” Amber Marchese reveals, adding, “It has made me feel more alive and closer to God than ever. My faith has helped me conquer my fear; my spirit will never be crushed.”
Marchese is now giving advice and help to those who are also fighting this horrible disease. And this is great preparation for those who may be diagnosed down the line. According to the Inquisitr, Amber has been very open about this diagnosis and her journey.
“The surrounding tissue was not cancerous. It was literally just the tumor that was cancerous. We caught it in the early stages. It is nothing short of a miracle,” Amber has revealed, adding, “There’s still a long road ahead of me. I am definitely going to have radiation for the next five weeks. We are still debating whether or not to do chemotherapy.”
