WWE News: Tyson Kidd Suffers Spinal Cord Injury, WWE Talents Keeping Injuries A Secret?
Injuries are plaguing the WWE at the moment and its becoming worse than ever before. At the same time, Rusev, Sami Zayn, Hideo Itami and now-Tyson Kidd have succumbed to various injuries in the past month and a half. The newest WWE superstar to get injured is Kidd, who got hurt against Samoa Joe in a WWE Raw dark match two nights ago.
In an update on Tyson Kidd’s injury, WrestleZone.comreports that Kidd’s injury is connected to the spinal cord and is worse than originally expected.
As noted, the ref put up the “X” signal during the bout, and Kidd did have to receive medical attention following the match.
It has been mentioned recently that there appears to be a new unwritten policy in WWE in which talents keep injuries somewhat of a secret, if they can, the injury to Kidd is something that no one is supposed to be talking about.
The last part of that report is very concerning when talking about WWE superstars. At the end of the day, if this is confirmed, can lead to dangerous events in World Wrestling Entertainment. Now, the WWE is also extremely careful with its wrestlers. Leaving any injury off the table isn’t a safe move. If Tyson Kidd is out for a long time, then let him rehab his injury and come back stronger.
As it stands, Rusev’s injury and the WWE NXT guys’ ailments will take some time to heal. In the meantime, Cesaro is ready to be pushed as a top-singles competitor. A spinal cord injury is nothing to take lightly, as it could lead to nerve damage and potential paralysis. Now, none of that came from the WWE; it’s pure speculation.
Too many times have athletes rushed back from injury only to worsen it. Tyson Kidd still has a bright future ahead of him, so keeping him on the shelf is the right move for now. In the next few days, the WWE will most-likely address his injury. They did the same thing for Rusev, who has that broken ankle. WWE even wrote that in the storylines on Monday’s WWE Raw.
If it is a spinal cord injury, he should rest and see a specialist immediately. WWE’s crew of doctors presumably already checked Kidd out after his match against Samoa Joe. After that round of checks, Kidd would go see a specialist, or realize it wasn’t severe and stayed on the road. Let’s hope the injury bug doesn’t make its way to the main event.
