In a week and a half, WWE will put on their Money In The Bank event, and the card is building to be a really good one. Coming off the return of the Elimination Chamber , the card for the big Pay-Per-View already has three confirmed matches, another announced at the SmackDown taping, and a few rumored matches coming up as well.
After the events of Monday Night Raw , three matches were already set in place, but the SmackDown taping added one more. It also changed up one of the matches already set in place a little bit and added a huge piece to the puzzle.
Please know that there are some SPOILERS ahead, so only continue reading if you’re alright with finding things out ahead of time.
This image will grow by one as of Thursday night when Kane inserts himself into the Money in the Bank ladder match. That will bring the number of participants to seven, and it’s done to really get under the skin of Seth Rollins.
Another match added was one for the Tag Team Titles. Kofi Kingston being in the briefcase match means that the duo of Big E and Xavier Woods will defend the titles, which goes to show you that WWE is allowing The New Day to wrestle with the belts under Demolition rules (Ax, Smash, Crush).
With that being said, the Prime Time Players are going to get their shot at the gold held by The New Day. Expect that match to be made official by the end of the evening on Thursday.
That will make four total matches confirmed for Money In The Bank :
- WWE World Heavyweight Title – Ladder Match : Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
- MITB Ladder Match : Neville vs. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Kane
- WWE Tag Team Title Match: The New Day (c) vs. Prime Time Players
- John Cena vs. Kevin Owens
Now, there will be at least two, but probably three more matches added to the card.
The first one being talked about is Paige taking on Nikki Bella for the WWE Diva’s Championship. It seems like the Bellas are going the way of the heels again, and Paige is going to step up to take them down.
Ryback just won the Intercontinental Title, and already he’s got a really big challenger for it in a returning Big Show. Expect this match to be added to the card by next week sometime.
Money In The Bank could also bring about some surprises in a big heel turn , the return of Brock Lesnar , or maybe the set-up for his return with Paul Heyman . There’s more to come for the next WWE Pay-Per-View so stay tuned.
