Kim Richards Fired From ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Cast, Enters Psychological Disorder Treatment Facility
Kim Richards has been fired from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And now the reality star, after discussing her issues with alcohol and pills, is heading to a rehab facility that treats psychological disorders rather than substance abuse, according to Radar Online.
Located in Malibu, Calif., the treatment center focuses on bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety issues, and schizophrenia among other psychological concerns. But for Kim, at 50, this is not the first time in rehab.
Richards’ last treatment experience followed arrests for public intoxication and battery on a police officer. She was in rehab, then went to her daughter Brooke’s wedding, where she became intoxicated again.
As the Inquisitr reported, the wedding became a bittersweet occasion for Brooke when her mother Kim ignored the sober coach that had accompanied her and became unmanageable.
The coach quit as the intoxicated Richards swore violent at Brooke’s new husband.
“[Kim was] a mess,” confirmed multiple insiders of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality TV star.
Although Richards’ rehab treatment center had provided her with a pass to go to the wedding, she was supposed to head back on Memorial Day. She did not do so, and the sober coach, when she found she could not manage Kim, abandoned the situation after the wedding ceremony.
Now that she’s in a treatment facility again, can Kim look forward to returning to the world of reality TV? Only for a cameo, but not as a series regular on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, reported E! News.
As for who else will return for season six, most of the women are expected to come back but it’s not known if Kim’s sister Kyle Richards is among them. However, some of the highs and lows of season five involved the Richards sisters.
Kim has starred on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since its first season in 2010. But she also has publicly battled addiction.
“She’s doing OK, a lot better than she had been,” an insider said about Richards’ situation now that’s in treatment.
It is not known if Richards has been informed that she is fired, or how long she will stay. The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star’s current treatment stint comes after a failed intervention by Dr. Phil, as the Inquisitr reported.
Kim’s children attended and confronted their mother about her sobriety.
After Kim left the room at one point, Dr. Phil’s cameras captured her discussion with her children.
“You haven’t been sober,” accused her son Chad.
“Yeah, but Chad. I’m not drinking every day,” defended Kim.
“I live with you. I’m not saying you’re drinking, but you’re taking pills. You do this every once in a while, you smoke pot,” said Chad.
