Watch ‘I Am Cait’ Promo: Caitlyn Jenner Says ‘I Am The New Normal’ In Docu Series Teaser [Video]
The first video promo for Caitlyn Jenner’s upcoming reality show, I Am Cait, was released today, with a sneak peek at what’s to come in E!‘s eight-part docu series that premieres July 26.
In the trailer above, Caitlyn — formerly known as Bruce Jenner — is shown putting on makeup and leaving her home to go out in public. There is joy in her voice now that she has officially come out as transgender. While riding in a golf cart with friends, she talks about her hope that, in the future, being transgender will be normal. Her friend quickly replies, “You’re normal!”
“We’re out into the world! It’s so great out there… Isn’t it great that some day maybe it will be normal, just blend into society… Put it this way, I am the new normal.”
The world’s first look at the former Olympian happened on Monday, when Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover was released online. The Call Me Caitlyn issue, due out on newsstands June 9, contains photos and author Buzz Bissinger’s 20-plus page interview about Caitlyn’s transformation into a woman.

In April, Diane Sawyer’s interview with Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn, was watched by millions, and received an outpouring of support from his family, friends, celebrities, and Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans.
The one person who didn’t appear in the interview was Jenner’s ex-wife, Kris, who decided to cash in on the father of her children with a two-part KUWTK special About Bruce that aired May 17 and 18. Kris has not commented on social media, but did state in the Vanity Fair interview that she didn’t know “the extent of his gender issues,” and had no idea that her husband of 24 years wanted to become a woman.
“Why would you want to be married and have kids if this is what you wanted since you were a little boy? Why would you not explain this all to me?”
While Kris hasn’t mentioned her ex on Twitter, Caitlyn’s debut on the social media site was as extraordinary as her introduction to the world on the cover of Vanity Fair. She made a Guiness World record after joining Twitter on Monday.
Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who’da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support. — Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) June 1, 2015
According to USA Today, @Caitlyn_Jenner collected over 1 million followers in just over four hours, beating President Obama’s record of 1 million followers in 4.5 hours in May. By Wednesday, she had over 2.1 million followers, and there is no doubt that the number will continue to climb as fans anticipate the premiere of Caitlyn’s upcoming docu-series on July 26.
