‘Real Housewives’ Kim Richards $50,000 Rehab: Details Revealed
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has checked into an extremely pricey rehab facility. According to a June 2 report by Radar Online, Richards is currently receiving treatment for her addiction to alcohol at a facility, which charges patients a whopping $50,000 to enroll.
The unnamed center features just six bedrooms, but boasts several amenities, including an on-site gym, sauna, and a chef, who prepares all of the patient’s meals. Also included in the $50,000 fee for the Pacific Palisades, California, clinic are meditation sessions, massages, and yoga classes.
The Real Housewives star has been said to be experiencing financial woes as of late, and while those reports remain unconfirmed, it seems likely she may have chosen to partake in the rehab facility’s financing option, which allows patients to enroll in a payment plan, rather than pay the $50,000 fee upfront.
As the Inquisitr reported, news of Richards’ enrollment in rehab comes just days after she returned to L.A., and initially refused to return to treatment. On June 1, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.
“Kim came back from Cabo last week but is refusing to go back to rehab. She suffered a huge relapse at the wedding, and was mixing booze and pills. However, Kim is refusing to go back to rehab.
Kim has been in contact with sister’s Kyle and Kathy, but both siblings are obviously very concerned about her. There is only so much the family can do for Kim, and refusing to get help is a big obstacle.”
As for the Real Housewives star’s upcoming court case, during which she’ll face charges of public intoxication, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer, a source recently told Radar Online her failure to return to rehab by the pre-set deadline may have cost her a sweet plea deal.
“Kim would have had to successfully complete rehab, and the charges would have been dismissed. The Beverly Hills Hotel didn’t want to proceed with charges if Kim was getting help. With Kim relapsing, the deal is now on hold, and the DA will most likely want a much longer rehab stint in exchange for the charges being dropped.”
The Real Housewives star was expected to return to rehab by last Monday, but instead remained in Mexico.
Richards is due in court next week to address the pending charges against her.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has yet to be officially renewed by Bravo.
