Caitlyn Jenner Slammed: Controversial Blogger Matt Walsh Insults Transgender Community Once Again
Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, has received a great share of support from people. But with great respect comes great disrespect. Controversial blogger Matt Walsh slammed Caitlyn Jenner for her iconic Vanity Fair cover on Monday morning.
Matt Walsh doesn’t approve of Caitlyn Walsh’s Vanity Fair cover. In fact, he went as far as to call the magazine cover “disturbing.” In his disrespectful post, Walsh refers to Jenner as “mentally disordered man who is being manipulated by disingenuous liberals and self-obsessed gay activists.”
In a very wordy and lengthy blog post on the Blaze, Matt explains how “transgenderism kills feminism.” He argues that how someone acts and dress does not make that person a woman. According to Matt Walsh, Caitlyn Jenner is not a woman and should not be referred to as a woman. The blogger thinks referring to Caitlyn Jenner as a woman is an insult to women everywhere.
“After all, according to mainstream feminist wisdom, there is no such thing as a ‘female brain’ or a ‘female soul’ or ‘feeling like a female.’ By the words of every liberal who has ever said anything on the subject of women’s rights in the past four decades, how you dress, look, think, and feel have nothing to do with your womanhood. Usually it would be offensive and sexist to accuse a woman of acting like, thinking like, or feeling like a woman.
Yet now, suddenly, emotions and looks define a woman so severely that a man can actually become one if he claims to experience feelings that he assumes are feminine?”
Suddenly, Matt Walsh cares about women. This is the same blogger who compared feminism to “a disfigured beast” and “a zombie corpse.” He’s tirelessly written about his hate for “bossy feminists” and has openly expressed that women should stay in the kitchen.
Matt Walsh also believes that a man will never be born with a woman’s soul or a woman’s mind. In his essay, he writes off the transgender community and believes that people are born with the soul or minds they should have. He doesn’t believe that some men are born with a woman’s soul or a woman’s mind.
“For my part, I agree that a man can never lay claim to womanhood. I also agree that there is such a thing as a female brain and a female soul — and by extension female emotions and female personalities and female characteristics — but the trouble is that female brains and souls are always contained securely in female bodies. A man will never be born with a sloth’s heart or a rhino’s liver or a birch tree’s root system, just as he will never be born with a woman’s brain.”
Matt Walsh believes there’s a distinction between transgender women and “real women.” In his essay, he compares transgendered people to cartoon characters. He also slams gay and lesbian people for being “terminally dishonest.”
So, who is Matt Walsh and why is he so popular? He’s a conservative Christian blogger who argues everything under the sun. Matt is the type of writer who believes that sharing his controversial opinions will get him clicks and fame. As previously noted via the Raw Story, he’s defended both Joshua Duggar’s sex scandal and the dangerous “Charlie Charlie Charlie” viral challenge. Yet he thinks that transgender people and yoga pants are the real problem.
This isn’t the first time that the blogger has slammed the former Bruce Jenner. As previously reported via the Inquisitr, he didn’t approve of Caitlyn Jenner’s decision to become a woman. He immediately took the news site to call Jenner a “mentally ill crossdresser.”
While some will argue that Walsh is entitled to his opinion, he doesn’t realize how his words have an effect on transgendered people like Caitlyn Jenner. It hasn’t stopped him from writing lengthy blog posts as to why he doesn’t accept Caitlyn Jenner as a woman. It should also be noted that Walsh doesn’t appear to be educated on social issues and transgender topics. It also looks like he’s willing to remain ignorant on these issues — or any issue for that matter.
There has been a lot of praise since Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover debuted on Monday. While others applauded her for her bravery, others slammed the star and made insensitive jokes about her cover. As previously reported via the Inquisitr, both Timbaland and Drake Bell took to social media to misgender Jenner.
As for Caitlyn Jenner, she still has the support of her family, and that’s all she needs. You can’t expect everyone to be kind and accepting overnight. Instead of slamming people like Matt Walsh for their insensitive comments, people should let them speak. It could create an open discussion about the hateful and cruel remarks that people make on a daily basis. Hopefully people like Walsh will want to educate themselves and learn to become better people.
