One Direction: 15-Year-Old Fan Auctions Her Virginity For Tour Tickets
Just when you thought One Direction fandom has thrown all it possibly can at you along comes a story that shakes you to the core. According to a story in the Stately Harold a 15-year-old Swedish girl is auctioning her virginity so as to be able to afford to attend every One Direction show for the rest of this years “On The Road Again” tour.
The unnamed girl from the town of Orebro in Sweden uploaded an auctioning item on the Swedish auctioning site Barnebys.se offering her maidenhead to the highest bidder. By doing so she hopes to raise enough cash to follow One Direction around the world. According to a translation of a report in a local Swedish newspaper called Narkes Allehanda the teenager is happy to sell her virginity to fund her obsession with One Direction.
She said, “I am a feminist and this is my body, I can do whatever the hell I want with it. I have been a One Direction fan ever since I was like 10 years old and there’s nothing I love more than them. I think about One Direction all the time, I dream of One Direction and One Direction is running through my veins always.”
The girl says that she recognizes that her actions may earn her a bad reputation but she believes that fulfilling her dream to see One Direction perform around the world will be worth any negative press.
According to Unreality TV, prostitution is illegal in Sweden, but the Swedish government “have issued an official permit” allowing the girl to sell herself in this way. It seems that the age of consent is 15 in Sweden so having sex with the girl would not necessarily be illegal.
The article claims that Gustav Fridolin, the Swedish Minister of Education, allegedly said, “Generally we don’t take selling of sex lightly, but in this case I believe it’s for a good cause. Who are we to foil this young girls dream? We see no reason to arrest her, and besides, I really like One Direction.”
It is claimed that the bidding war has begun and already stands at $225,000. Apparently the girl is hoping that the bids will reach $1 million. It also seems that the girls parents are broadly supportive of the girls actions and the girls 13-year-old sister is considering doing the same thing when she reaches 15.
