Katy Perry is ready to write a diss track about Taylor Swift now that she’s working on her new album. Several reports are suggesting that she would rather have her music speak for itself. Katy may even enlist the help of boyfriend John Mayer to help her out.
Taylor Swift premiered “Bad Blood” music video at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 17. Swift also attended the awards ceremony with her girl posse. Perry may have not attended due to Swift’s girl army and new music video, but that doesn’t mean she’s backing down. John Mayer is reportedly helping Perry write her own diss track, according to the Day Herald . Mayer has dated both Swift and Perry, and it looks like he’s not ready to stop talking about Swift just yet.
Taylor wrote her own diss track about John back in 2010. On “Dear John,” she sung the lyrics, “Don’t you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games?” Taylor didn’t even hide the fact that the song was about John. Taylor and John briefly dated in 2009 and co-wrote the song, “Half of My Heart.”
Mayer responded to Swift’s “Dear John” with his song “Paper Doll.”
It looks like new details about Perry’s diss track are coming out. Now Perry is planning to call out Swift in her upcoming “ anthemic-type song ,” as previously reported via the Daily Beast . She also wants to include some dirt on good-girl Swift, courtesy of Mayer.
How bad is it? Her new song, that is. Katy Perry thinks that “revenge is a dish best served cold,” according to an alleged insider told Heat magazine.
“She’s even more determined to show people what she calls ‘the real Taylor’ – she’s writing some big, anthemic-type songs that’ll feature dirt on Taylor that John’s told her from when they used to date. Katy’s sure that she’ll be back on top before long, and Taylor will regret ever starting this stupid row.”
This rumors sounds eerily similar to her interview with Billboard back in January.
“If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”
Yikes. Taylor Swift had better watch her back. Just because you write songs about people you dated or were friends with doesn’t mean that they’ll always appreciate it. It sounds like Swift and Perry’s “Bad Blood” is just going to get bloodier as time goes on.
As previously reported via the Inquisitr , Taylor Swift’s presence even kept Katy Perry away from the Billboard Music Awards. John Mayer convinced the “Dark Horse” singer that she should just stay home and avoid Swift and her girl posse.
“John convinced her it was a bad idea. Katy realized she couldn’t stand the idea of the cameras being on her face as she had to watch Taylor win every award with all her friends applauding her.”
Having to miss the awards ticked off Katy. Now she wants to work on her new album, write a diss track, and become pop’s reigning queen once again. Katy is not only working on getting those number one singles, but she’s also wanting to dish the dirt about Taylor. Katy may not have a celebrity girl posse, but she does have John Mayer.
So, how bad is it? Their alleged feud, that is.
Katy and Taylor were best friends a few years before their feud began. The two even attended each other’s birthday parties and supported each other on social media. The Katy Perry and Taylor Swift feud started when three of the backup dancers that were in Perry’s 2011 California Dreams World Tour auditioned for Swift’s Red World Tour and were hired. In the middle of Swift’s world tour, the three dancers left for Perry’s Prism World Tour.
Taylor hinted about their feud in her September 2014 interview with Rolling Stone magazine . Katy swung by back calling Taylor “the Regina George in sheep’s clothing” on Twitter. During her 2015 Super Bowl Halftime performance, Katy’s backup dancers wore retro polka dot bikinis, much like the one Taylor wore while vacationing in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, in 2012.
It looks Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s feud isn’t going to get any better. It’s just going to get worse as time will go on. Both stars haven’t reached out to the media for comment about these new reports. What are your thoughts? Do you think Katy Perry should retaliate with a diss track? Do you think John Mayer should reveal dirt on Taylor Swift? Share your thoughts below in the comments section.
