Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis Spotted Holding Hands At Dinner, ‘They Looked Very Cozy’
Rumors about a romance between celebrity chefs Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis are heating up, with Radar Online reporting that the Food Network stars were recently spotted “getting cozy” while out to dinner at a New York City restaurant.
Radar‘s source reports that Bobby and Giada were having more than just a “friendly meal” at Emilio’s Ballato, with a staff member at the restaurant confirming that the two celebs had a “great time together.”
“They were holding hands under their table and looked very cozy. They even carved their initials in a secret place on the wall… the two seemingly could not get enough of each other.”
This isn’t the first time Flay and De Laurentiis have enjoyed a night out on the town, prompting rumors that they are more than just long-time friends. According to People, the celebrity chefs enjoyed dinner out in Miami just days before she announced her split from her husband of 11 years, Todd Thompson.
“Both seemed in a good mood and enjoyed a spirited dinner with drinks. They were laughing and talking and enjoying the fabulous weather. Giada was super nice, but she definitely had a few drinks. She tripped over her feet on her way out of the restaurant, and Bobby let out a laugh.”
Flay was still married to his third wife, actress Stephanie March, when he enjoyed a night out with De Laurentiis in Miami. He is now in the midst of a messy divorce that is peppered with cheating rumors. After 10 years of marriage, the couple split in early April. According to In Touch, March accused Flay of cheating on her with three women, including Mad Men actress January Jones.
“Stephanie is claiming in court papers that Bobby committed adultery with January several times during the early months of 2010. She says they had sex many times and in different places, including the London hotel in Los Angeles.”
Depsite the rumors, reps for both Bobby and Giada deny that the stars are anything more than good friends. Giada’s reps tell E! that Radar‘s sources are wrong, and the “cozy dinner” in NYC never happened — something Flay’s rep confirmed as well.
“Giada had dinner at Bellato with her agent. Bobby Flay was also having dinner with some friends and dropped by Giada’s table to say hi. They did not have dinner, nor was there any touching going on.”
Flay, 50, has hosted 13 cooking shows and specials on both the Food Network and Cooking Channel; eight continue to air. De Laurentiis, who will turn 45 in August, made her premiere on the Food Network in 2003, as the star of the popular show, Everyday Italian.
