Lindsay Lohan Is Free From Formal Probation
Los Angeles, Ca. – After two years of court hearings and threats and all the drama that goes with it, Lindsay Lohan formally ended her supervised probation today. Lohan thanked Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner for her patience during the brief hearing.
Over the course of the last two years Lohan had been ordered to counseling sessions and to do community service at the County Morgue, all conditions she fulfilled before the deadline which was today.
Lohan told the judge,
“I just want to say thank you for being fair. It’s really opened a lot of doors for me,”
Sautner told Lilo that she was going to save her a lecture and that the actress was still on informal probation until 2014.
Judge Sautner told her,
“You need to live your life in a more mature way, stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work,”
If Lohan does get into more trouble, she could face a 245-day jail sentence in the necklace case. The judge said she understood that Lohan may be frustrated with constant scrutiny by paparazzi and others, but noted, “That’s the life you chose.”
Lindsay’s spokesman Steve Honig commented on her career saying in a statement,
“Lindsay is already talking about her next few projects. She is ready to start the next chapter in her life and get back to work and doing what she loves to do – making movies.”
Lohan is not the only celebrity that has done time for their silly crimes. Fellow female celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Khloe Kardashian have all been sentenced to jail and faced multiple court hearings because they didn’t properly comply with their sentences.
