‘Bachelor’ Chris Soules Says Breakup With Whitney Bischoff ‘Really Tough’
Chris Soules has broken his silence a day after revealing that he and Whitney Bischoff have ended their relationship. On Friday afternoon, Chris, whom viewers saw get engaged to Whitney on the season finale of The Bachelor about two months ago and then go straight to Dancing with the Stars, posted a tweet in which he thanked everyone for their support.
Chris admitted that the breakup “has been really tough.”
I can't thank you all enough for the kind messages over the past few days. This has been really tough and your support means a lot to me.

Chris’ message was posted shortly after Whitney released her own statement. As the Inquisitr reported, Whitney posted an Instagram message in which she thanked people for their love, kindness, and support.
On Wednesday, Chris and Whitney released a joint statement announcing the end of their engagement.
“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement. They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
So far, neither Chris nor Whitney have publicly revealed what caused or led to the demise of their relationship. Perhaps one or both of them will do a tell-all interview with The Bachelor host Chris Harrison? In mid-February, after announcing the end of her relationship with Josh Murray in early January, former The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman sat down for an interview in which she pretty much admitted that she and Josh, both being strong-willed and stubborn, couldn’t back down to one another in the face of conflict nor did they support one another.
“I didn’t feel supported and empowered and I don’t think I gave him that support and empowerment that he needed. When you have two very passionate, very strong personalities in one house and nobody can back down and nobody is the calming force for one another… it’s a lot of emotion. It’s a lot of tension in one house.”
The day that Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff announced their split, host Chris Harrison told Hallmark’s Home & Family that he was “really sorry” to hear the news. He added that while others may think it’s just silly TV, he knows them and all the other people from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as real people with real emotions.
“I was really sorry to hear this morning that Chris and Whitney had ended their engagement. He went on to do Dancing with the Stars and moved back to Iowa and I thought they had given it a go and were going back together but apparently not…I know it is television and I know there are silly things that go on, but, to me, they are also real people…They’re still two people going through a breakup, so it’s still tough. I wish them the best.”
