WWE Rumors: ‘Elimination Chamber’ Could Bring Lots Of Surprises And Big Names — Will Samoa Joe Make His WWE Debut?
This Sunday, WWE will bring about the return of Elimination Chamber, and there are six big matches on the card. It’s a very good-looking card right now, but there could be a lot more unannounced things happening as well. Some rumors are flying around, and we could see some injury replacements, heel turns, and even debuts take place on Sunday.
Please note that these are only rumors and not anything confirmed for this Sunday’s Pay-Per-View.
NXT Champion Kevin Owens has looked incredibly strong since first appearing on WWE television two weeks ago. He has destroyed John Cena twice on Raw and delivered an extremely strong promo on last night’s SmackDown. Many think he could win his match on Sunday.
If Owens isn’t going to be a full-time performer on WWE’s main roster right now, he won’t defeat Cena. Rumors suggest that Samoa Joe could show up at Elimination Chamber, distract Owens in some way, and cause him to lose the match.
This would further their feud in NXT and be a huge happening in professional wrestling.
The vacant Intercontinental Title is up for grabs in one of the chamber matches on Sunday, and any one of the six competitors could walk out with it. Right now, Rusev is dealing with a foot injury that very well could keep him out of the match at Elimination Chamber, and someone would need to take his place.
Fansided reported that if Rusev can’t go, Bray Wyatt may end up being the one to take his place. Wyatt currently doesn’t have a match on the card, and that is strange. It’s unfortunate that it would take an injury to get him on the card.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose could very well put on the match of the night on Sunday, but there is something more that may need to be looked at. Ever since Payback, the former members of The Shield have been closely intertwined.
As Rollins and Ambrose have set up their feud, Roman Reigns has been involved as well, and he doesn’t have a match at Elimination Chamber. It’s believed that he could get involved and end up costing Ambrose the match, which would set up a feud between the two.
Here are some other things that may happen at Elimination Chamber.
- Luke Harper and Erick Rowan may show up to help Bo Dallas defeat Neville, or show up after the match to beat Nevill down.
- The Big Show may return to WWE TV.
- Brock Lesnar is not expected to show up at this event despite rumors of his return coming on numerous different dates.
For a Pay-Per-View that was done away with by WWE, it has received a ton of attention and excitement from the press and fans in just two weeks. Elimination Chamber is actually shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the year so far, and rumors suggest it could get even bigger.
