Ari Teman Airbnb Orgy Debacle: Man ‘Homeless,’ Blacklisted By NYC Landlords After ‘XXX Freak Fest’
It’s been over a year since Ari Teman filed a formal complaint against Airbnb. The man, who claims to have been duped by a host, said the debacle from the sex orgy party aka XXX Freak Fest, has left him homeless and blacklisted by NYC landlords, this according to a New York Daily News report.
Reportedly, Ari Teman was compensated by Airbnb a sum over $23,000 for damages caused by one of the apartment-sharing site’s clients. However, the comedian said that since the orgy took place in his residence, he was evicted by his landlord.

Additionally, his name appears in a local housing database for being attached to the sex party. As a consequence, Teman has lived in over 20 different locations as a transient. In short, he’s homeless.

Teman, in response to his homeless situation, created a Tumblr post Wednesday titled, “Dear AirBNB, No Thank You for the XXX Freak Fest.” He goes on an extended rant and tries to appeal to the group — that he likens to “cancer” — to “fix” the situation it allegedly caused.
“I am homeless because you stuck a “XXX Freak Fest” orgy in my apartment and abandoned me to deal with the fall out.
“I’m not homeless because of finances – though the unimagined debt and massive amount of lost work caused by your orgy hasn’t helped – but because thanks to Airbnb I’m on a blacklist and cannot get a legitimate lease in all of New York City.
“Brokers refuse to help me after looking me up and finding I’m on the blacklist. One building management refused to even accept a full year’s up-front payment because I was on the blacklist.
“I’ve had to sleep in over 20 places since you put an orgy in my apartment, because I cannot get a lease. I’m exhausted and want a home.”
Teman believes Airbnb has an additional responsibility to help him remove the blacklist status. He hopes his experience can serve as a warning to others seeking to use the site to exercise caution.
“I’m on a blacklist and cannot get a legitimate lease in all of New York City.”
