It’s True! Chris Soules And Whitney Bischoff Confirm Split: ‘Bachelor’ Couple Releases Joint Statement
It has been only two short months since the finale of The Bachelor, and Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff have already decided to call it quits. Soules, who most recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars with Bischoff looking on in admiration from the audience, had told People magazine earlier this month the relationship was good.
Alas, it was not to be. In a joint statement released to People today, the couple said they are done.
“[Chris and Whitney] have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement.
“They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends.
“They wish to think everyone who has supported them through this journey.”
Bachelor producers should be used to their happy couples breaking up soon after the show ends. But Mike Fleiss expressed sadness on Twitter at Chris and Whitney’s news.

Chris Soules had told People that Bischoff was set to set up shop in his tiny town of Arlington, Iowa, where he runs a working farm. Bischoff is a fertility nurse in Chicago.
“Eventually she will be moving to Arlington and we’ll be beginning our life there.”
It was reportedly Andi Dorfman’s inability to see herself in Soules’ small town that led her to eliminate Soules while she was the Bachelorette. Chris got as far as the hometown visits with Andi, and Dorfman, an attorney, questioned what she would do for work.
Andi Dorfman broke up with her final pick, Josh Murray, not long after Chris’ season of The Bachelor debuted.
While a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, Chris Soules revealed that his sister actually brought him to the attention of Bachelor producers. After doing three reality shows in a row, Chris told People he was looking forward to getting back to farming.
“I’m excited to just get back to what I’m good at. Dancing is not what I’m good at. I got as good as I could possibly get, but I’m going to go do things that come natural to me.”
One of Chris Soules’ final three, Kaitlyn Bristowe, is currently this season’s Bachelorette. Only a couple of weeks into the season, Bristowe’s time on the show has proved controversial, as it has been revealed she was intimate with a contestant before the “fantasy suite” dates.
