Jennifer Lopez Plans To Debut New Haircut, Gets Confetti-Bombed Instead
Jennifer Lopez planned to debut her new haircut at LAX on Tuesday. Instead, the 45-year-old entertainer got confetti-bombed as she revealed her extension-free locks.
Lopez was making her way through LAX Airport when she got confetti-bombed by a clown. You can’t make this stuff up, folks. Lopez surprisingly remained calm as she literally shook off the confetti and checked into TSA security. She wasn’t happy about the incident, but she didn’t appear to be bothered by it either.
So, who confetti-bombed J.Lo? It was serial prankster Richie the Barber. The alleged fame-hungry entertainer works at Bolt Barbers in Los Angeles, according to a previous report via the Daily Mail. He’s known for pulling the same stunts on other celebrities like Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian. The tattooed prankster is also known for confetti-bombing Audrina Patridge once and Lindsay Lohan twice when she had to go to court
Too bad Richie’s trick stole the attention away from Jennifer’s new hairstyle. The singer and actress is often known for her long luscious locks. So it was a little shocking when she was spotted rocking a shorter hairstyle at LAX.

Lopez was seen wearing a shoulder-length hairstyle with flipped ends and layers around her face. However, it’s considered more of a “lob” rather than a bob with its long layers. Lopez paired her new ’70s hairstyle with a cropped Michael Kors blue sweater and denim bell-bottoms.
Unfortunately, for fans, no hairstylists have taken credit for J.Lo’s new haircut. Her longtime stylist Lorenzo Martin spoke to People magazine earlier in the year about how he keeps her hair in tiptop shape. He told the tabloid that it’s easy to style Jennifer’s signature light-colored hair.
“Thing about Jennifer is she looks good in everything, and she has amazing hair which makes my job very easy. We work together so much, we have to constantly switch it up so she looks fresh. I’m pretty lucky.”
It’s no wonder why Martin calls the performer “The Queen of the Hair Flip.” He also believes that Lopez can pull off any look.
“She probably has one of the most enviable heads in Hollywood … I’ve said it before but when someone has amazing hair, it’s easy to create amazing looks.”
She was able to debut her new haircut on Instagram at least. The superstar took to the photo-sharing app to share a selfie of herself from Morocco.
