WWE Rumors Round-Up: Top Star Returning, WWE Legend In ‘Expendables 4,’ IC Match At ‘Elimination Chamber’ Forced To Change
More rumors are flying around the wrestling world, and they have nothing to do with the recent Ring of Honor to Destination America bombshell dropped today. WWE has a lot going on with Elimination Chamber just a few days away and one superstar possibly not being able to participate in a big match. There’s also talk of a WWE legend prepping to star in a huge action film and a giant star getting back into the ring.
Big Show will be back on WWE television soon
Big Show has been off of WWE television for quite some time now, and it’s understandable that the company gives the longtime veteran some time to rest now and then. He recently returned to action though, but it was merely at a house show.
WrestleZone reported that Big Show was back in the ring at an event a few days ago and actually took on Roman Reigns in a steel cage match. Show ended up losing the match, but was said to look like he is in great shape.
Hulk Hogan may star as villain in The Expendables 4
Hulk Hogan may want one more match in WWE, but he has other things to do in his spare time. No strange to the big screen, Entertainment Weekly reported that Hogan is actually looking at taking on the villain role in Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables 4.
“Was talking on the phone with Sly about doing The Expendables 4. We’re trying to figure out a way to maybe turn me into the most evil man in the world. Y’know, Stallone gave me my first break and he’s been a great friend. We had a great conversation, talking about the possibilities. Can I still run, can I still jump? Well, not as fast or not as high, but I think Hollywood could find a good stunt man to help me out.”
Even though he has been a babyface for quite some time, Hogan has ventured into the world of evil before. It’s coming up on the 20-year anniversary of his iconic heel turn that saw him side with the nWo.
Rusev injured at SmackDown taping – Out of Elimination Chamber?
At the SmackDown tapings on Tuesday night, Rusev suffered an injury in his match against Ryback that will air on Thursday night. The former United States champion took a bad bump in which he ended up holding his foot and/or ankle.
After the injury occurred, the match quickly ended and medics came out to check on Rusev and help him backstage. Photos have since appeared on social media showing him sitting a wheelchair at the airport and holding crutches while his foot is in a cast.
There’s no word yet if Rusev will be taken out of the Elimination Chamber match this Sunday fore the vacant Intercontinental Title.
There you have it. Some of the most recent rumors and news stories going around about WWE. Some wonder if Rusev can’t go on Sunday, if a returning Big Show would be able to step in and take his place at Elimination Chamber. We shall know soon, and also if Hulk Hogan gets his crack at being a villain once again, but now in The Expendables 4.
