Little Mix Discuss Album Delay, Zayn Malik, And The ‘Zerrie’ Wedding

Little Mix already released their new single “Black Magic,” which has been lighting up the charts. The British girl group took the time to explain why it took them so long to work on their next album. According to Little Mix, they’re “perfectionists” and couldn’t decide which single to release.

In their new interview, the girl group admitted that they were already finished with their new album. In fact, they were ready to release it as soon as possible. But there was a little problem. Little Mix didn’t think their album was good enough for their fans, so they scrapped it and worked on a completely different one.

In an interview with the Sun, Jesy explained to the interviewer why they axed their old album.

“We’ve been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought, ‘Nope, it’s not good enough’. We recorded a whole album but we’re perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again. It was very stressful, it just wasn’t happening.”

Leigh-Anne piped added that they couldn’t decide on a single to release.

“The main problem is we just couldn’t find a single. Then we heard ‘Black Magic’ and our prayers had been answered. There’s an eighties vibe to it and a classic pop sound.”

Jade added, “Salute was very R&B and dark, this album is more fun. And there’s a lot of banter on it.”

So what can Little Mix fans expect on their new album?

“I think the Jessie collaboration is a song the fans will like. And a lot of the cheeky banter on the album comes from Jess Glynne, she’s one of the most fun people to be around.”

New music wasn’t all that Little Mix talked about. The conversation quickly turned to Perrie Edwards and her controversial relationship with Zayn Malik. Fans have been wondering about the status of Edwards and Malik’s relationship amid cheating allegations and engagement rumors.

It looks like Perrie is too busy to plan a wedding. She told the Sun that she doubts there will be a summer wedding, despite what reports have been saying for the past few months. Several reports claimed that Perrie and Zayn wanted to get married as soon as possible, so their relationship would feel official.

“I don’t know when the wedding will be. We’re still planning it but I’m so busy with Little Mix now ‘Black Magic’ is coming out.”

“Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we’ll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer — but I’ll let you know!”

The Little Mix continued to gush over her troubled fiancé. She admitted that she loves spending time with him now that he left One Direction for his own music career.

“It’s nice to see more of him now. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, he’s a great chef.”

It was rumored that Perrie Edwards split with her fiancé after she was spotted without her engagement ring. A previous report on the Inquisitr cleared up the breakup rumors and said that the singer was getting her ring cleaned. Fans will be happy to hear that Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik are still planning their big wedding.
