Leah Messer Updates Facebook Amid Marriage, Rehab Drama
Leah Messer is reportedly in rehab — and heading for a messy split from her husband of three years, Jeremy Calvert. However, the Teen Mom 2 star has yet to confirm either report, and on social media, things appear to be quite normal.
On May 25, Leah Messer’s shared a Memorial Day message with fans on Facebook, which was labeled as a quote from President Ronald Reagan.
“I believe with all my heart that standing up for America means standing up for God who has blessed our land.”
Leah Messer married Calvert in 2012, just one year after her divorce from first husband Corey Simms was finalized. The following year, in February 2013, the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Adaylnn Faith, the third child for Leah Messer, who also has twin girls with Simms.
On Teen Mom 2, Leah Messer has struggled within her marriage because of her husband’s career, which often takes him out of town for weeks at a time. During Season 5, Leah Messer was seen suggesting she and Calvert attend marriage counseling, but sadly, he refused, claiming he simply didn’t have enough time to do so. Then, after the show wrapped, things took a terrible turn for the worse, when Calvert accused Leah Messer of sleeping with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd, behind his back.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Leah Messer’s ex-husband, Simms, recently announced he and his wife, Miranda, were expecting their first child together. The couple’s baby news was initially shared on Facebook, along with a cute photo of baby cowboy boots, and reportedly came as heartbreak for Messer.
As fans will recall, Leah Messer slammed Simms’ marriage on Facebook just months ago, claiming there were lies happening, and alleging they weren’t as “perfect” as they seemed.
“Things you see on Corey and Mirandas ‘official and APPROVED page’ is far from being true, and all I have to say about it is that they may want to be very WISE about what the post because a marriage that PRETENDS to be PERFECT is NEVER perfect. Especially when there is way more not told to a specific spouse, and that’s all I’m going to say.”
For more Leah Messer, tune into Teen Mom 2 Season 6, when the series premieres on July 9 at 10 p.m. on MTV. Calvert, along with the Simms family, will be seen on Season 6, as well, although it is unclear how much of the show Calvert will be involved with.
