Andrea Bocelli, Veronica Berti Welcome Baby Girl
Break out the champagne glasses – famed Italian singer Andrea Bocelli and his fiancée Veronica Berti have welcomed a baby girl.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Bocelli, 53, and his bride-to-be named their daughter Virginia, which is of Etruscan origin, Berti says.
“The thing I like about this name is that none of my friends has it,” adds Berti, who is also Bocelli’s manager.
US Weekly writes that baby Virginia will join two older brothers – Amos, 17, and Matteo, 14 – from the iconic blind tenor’s marriage to Enrica Cenzatti. Bocelli and Cenzatti separated in 2002.
“With a dad and two brothers [Virginia] will have very attentive bodyguards,” Berti told Hello! Magazine.
Bocelli and Berti, who met in 2002, initially announced their pregnancy back in September, but have yet to set a date for a wedding.
“Naturally, when two people feel like we do, they want to make it a permanent arrangement,” Bocelli told the Daily Mail last year. “I hope it will happen from the religious and spiritual point of view but it is a legal matter.”
From all of us here at Inquisitr, congratulations Andrea and Veronica on your brand new bundle of joy.
