Let it be known that there are SPOILERS for the upcoming NXT episodes that will air on WWE Network in the next four weeks.
WrestleZone has recaps of the four weeks of spoilers, and Kevin Owens actually came out to start the first episode. He came out to Sami Zayn’s music and then brags about finishing him off, and he’ll do the same thing to Finn Balor who is now the number one contender , Samoa Joe, and John Cena next week at Elimination Chamber .
Later in the night, Owens defeated Solomon Crowe in a squash. Afterward, Samoa Joe came out to a huge pop and he made Owens back down and leave up the ramp.
For the taping of the third episode , Samoa Joe had his first match for NXT and he defeated Scott Dawson. Joe was introduced by his longtime ring name of “Samoa Joe,” and it appears WWE may not change it. He won easily with the Muscle Buster.
Owens was on commentary for the match and got into it on the mic with Samoa Joe after his match. He even called Samoa Joe an “ NXT rookie,” and that brought out William Regal. A non-title match was booked for “next week” between Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens.
In the final set of tapings, Samoa Joe got his match with Kevin Owens.
Things quickly got out of hand and the match ended in a “no contest” as the referee got knocked down and it was just huge brawl. Tons of referees and trainers and others came from the back to break it up, but many got knocked down too.
Samoa Joe loudly called Kevin Owens a “b**ch” and they started fighting again. After they were finally separated for good, Owens was on the ramp staring at Samoa Joe standing tall in the ring, and the crowd was popping huge.
NXT now has Samoa Joe on their roster, even though it doesn’t appear to be an exclusive deal just yet as he’s still doing some indy shows. It seems like only a matter of time until WWE signs him to an exclusive contract, and the ultimate showdown match with Kevin Owens happens.
