Brooke Brinson’s Wedding: Kim Richards Will Attend Without A Sober Companion [Report]

Brooke Brinson’s wedding will be attended by her mother, Kim Richards, and father, Monty Brinson, who will reportedly be in charge of keeping The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star sober.

As fans have learned from the show, Brooke Brinson first married Thayer Weiderhorn in August of last year at the home of Kathy Hilton. The wedding was reportedly rushed to ensure Brooke Brinson’s father, Monty, who is currently battling cancer, would be able to attend. Now, nearly a year later, Brinson and Weiderhorn are set to walk down the aisle a second time, and thankfully, Monty will be able to attend. However, his responsibility will reportedly be with Richards after she refused to allow a member of her sober family to travel with her.

On May 20, a source told Radar Online that Richards had abandoned the idea of a sober companion “because she doesn’t want everyone talking about her having an outsider, with her in Mexico. She has decided that her ex-husband, Monty, [Brooke Brinson]’s father, will be responsible for making sure she doesn’t fall off the wagon.”

“There will be alcohol served at the wedding reception. [Brooke Brinson] has gone out of her way to tell the staff and wedding coordinator not to serve Kim any alcohol. During the wedding toast, Kim will be served a ginger ale or club soda.”

According to Radar Online‘s source, Richards should not be having her ex-husband, who admitted to giving her a Vicodin at the end of last year, be responsible for keeping her away from alcohol. Not only is that not his responsibility, it’s also not something he should have to have his mind consumed with on Brooke Brinson’s special day.

“It’s so selfish of Kim to put that huge responsibility on Monty as he is battling terminal cancer. This wedding is turning into everything about Kim, and not the bride.”

While Kyle Richards may or may not attend Brooke Brinson’s wedding, she was not in attendance at Brooke Brinson’s bridal shower, which, as the Inquisitr reported, took place last week in Los Angeles. Instead, she posed for photos on the red carpet with Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna in New York City during the NBC Upfront.

“She was in New York City for Bravo’s upfronts, but wouldn’t have attended because of the ongoing hostility with Kim.”

Brooke Brinson’s wedding will take place this weekend in Mexico.
