George Clooney On Kimmel: Amal Cringes When He Wears This Clothing Item For A Week
Like a good pair of jeans, a man has a favorite T-shirt that he recycles like the next bloke. But as George Clooney admitted to Jimmy Kimmel, Amal Clooney (formerly Alamuddin) cringes at his fashion habit, according to a People report.
Clooney, 54, appeared on Jimmy’s Live show Tuesday night. There, the boys recalled pranks they’ve played on one another over the years. But the conversation morphed into George’s new life as a former bachelor. Kimmel pressed him on rules of the married life.
While the Gravity star admitted his wife is not overbearing in terms of telling him what he should and shouldn’t do, George admitted Amal cringes when he wears his tequila brand Casamigo shirt repeatedly. He says she’s flat-out annoyed by his fashion choices.
“There is that moment when I’ve worn the same T-shirt like for a week that she says, ‘Really?’ I fake her out every once in a while. I get different colors of the same T-shirt.”

George married the 37-year-old attorney last September in Venice, Italy. When they announced their engagement, the hearts of many budding suitors were broken. And by the actor’s own admission during a Charlie Rose interview, Amal didn’t flip head-over-heels with an instant acceptance of his proposal.

“When I asked her … we had never talked about it … there wasn’t, like, ‘Hey, maybe we should get married.’ I literally dropped it on her.”
“She just kept saying, ‘Oh my God’ and ‘Wow.’ And we just sat there. Finally, I just said … ‘You know, I’ve been on my knee now for about 28 minutes. So I gotta get an answer out of this, ’cause I’m gonna throw a hip out.'”
One has to wonder why a man like George Clooney would wear the same shirt over the stretch of a week. To be fair, the Duchess of Cambridge is known for being frugal and wearing dresses in rerun fashion from time to time.
However, one thing is clear: when he does it, his wife cringes as a show of her displeasure. After all, she’s a fashion barometer, and she likely wants her hubby to follow suit. Get on board, George — right?
